April 2016
On April 2016, Friday from 9:00 am-12:00 am, Friends & Me met together. This event took place at 40000 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538. 9 student volunteers and 5 special students attended. Our goal was to enrich social opportunities and assist in developing friendship circles for elementary and middle school students with Asperger's Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Exercise: One of the new events we added was kite flying. The children would take turns teaching the younger ones to run a kite. Despite unfavorable winds, both volunteers and students had a beautiful time watching their hopes and dreams rise into the air.
Relaxing: Between breaks of flying kites, students could perform many activities on the benches. The most well received was station where the children could make balloon makes.Their was also time for blowing bubbles and do coloring books.

August 2015
On August 14, 2015, Friday from 9:00 am-12:00 am, Friends & Me met together.
During the event all the kids had fun. The volunteers had a great opportunity and experience to learn. Kids from both parties played on the playground and swings provided at the park. Between periods of running, jumping, and laughing the volunteers spent time teaching the others card games. One of the favorite activities was ball tag. When not playing, everyone was provided with refreshments of chips and water.
Playing Games:
One of the favorite games was ball tag. When a person was hit with the blue ball he or she became “it” and to find someone else to throw the blue ball to.
It was a thrilling game of running, hiding, climbing, and sometimes even hiding in plain sight. Volunteers and students alike had a great time.

Relaxing:
After tiring play, people hung around the picnic table with the adults. One time, card games were brought and introduced to the students.
